The music & the mission go on…
CancerBlows /The Ryan Anthony Foundation was created in 2014, after Dallas Symphony Orchestra principal trumpet and former Canadian Brass member, Ryan Anthony, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a terminal cancer of the blood and bone marrow.
The original concert was intended to be a single event featuring legendary trumpeters like Doc Severinsen, Arturo Sandoval and Chicago's Lee Loughnane but demand was so overwhelming that the music & the mission go on.
The foundation’s mission is to support research for blood cancers through exciting & unique musical events featuring the talents of brass musicians worldwide. Over the past four years, CancerBlows concerts and recordings have become a beacon of hope and healing for patients of all cancers and their families and have raised over $2 million.
